Our product photography runs Rs 500 to Rs 1,500 per image. Perfume usually lands in the upper half of that range, and the bottle is why. Clear glass, coloured liquid and a shiny cap each catch light in their own way, and all three sit in the same frame.
Why a perfume bottle takes longer than a jar
The glass shows the room. A clear bottle picks up the lights, the ceiling and sometimes the camera. Clean edges without hard white streaks take a slower lighting setup.
The liquid has a colour to hold. A pale yellow eau de parfum can look like water under flat light. We usually light it from behind so the juice reads as the right shade.

The cap is a mirror. Black caps show every fingerprint. Gold and chrome caps show every reflection. A lot of the retouching time on a perfume set goes into the cap alone.
A white background shot still takes work
Marketplace listings need the bottle on white. With a clear bottle, that white shows through the glass, and the bottle can almost vanish into the background. We add dark edges with reflectors so the outline stays crisp and the label stays readable.

If the label lists notes or the volume, check it's legible at thumbnail size before you approve the shots.
Mood shots cost more than pack shots
Most fragrance brands want more than a white background, because the listing has to suggest how the scent feels. Coloured light, a cast shadow or a styled set takes more setup and more tries per frame. The Vanesa cover shot on this post was built around one hard beam of light so the bottle throws its own shadow on the wall.
Put the number of mood frames in the brief. We plan the day around them.
A hand or a model changes the quote
A hand holding the bottle shows its size better than any spec line does. A full model shot shows how the product is used. Both add people, styling and time to the shoot.

We've written separately about what a model shoot costs in India.
What else moves the number
- Five fragrances in the same bottle shape cost less per image than five different bottles, because the lighting carries over. - A trio or gift set in one frame needs every bottle lit evenly, which takes longer than three single shots. - Citrus, wood, flowers or spices around the bottle mean buying props, styling them and cleaning up between frames. - If the liquid colour is part of your brand, ask how many rounds of colour correction the quote includes.
What to send us
- One clean bottle per variant, with no scratches on the glass or cap - The outer box if it will appear in the listing - Your marketplace image specs, if you sell on Amazon, Nykaa or Myntra - Reference images for the mood you want
