How to take product photos for Flipkart?

Clean neutral or white background on the main image, then use all eight slots: angles, a detail shot, scale, and lifestyle last.

Flipkart's own zoom is the reason to shoot bigger than the stated minimum. A buyer who zooms is close to deciding, and a soft image at that exact moment does more damage than a missing one. Check the current floor in Seller Hub, then shoot comfortably above it.

The eight slots are the real opportunity, and the reason most listings underperform is that they leave five empty. Each slot should answer one objection. Main on white for the grid, then alternate angles, then a close detail of whatever people actually ask about in the questions section, then something that establishes scale, then lifestyle for the buyer who is nearly there.

Shooting it yourself is workable for simple matte products. Indirect daylight from a window, a curved sheet of white card so there is no visible corner behind the product, and the largest file size your phone will produce. Avoid portrait mode: the blurred edges it creates are the opposite of what a zoom viewer needs.

Reflective and transparent products are where it stops being workable. Glass, chrome and gloss pick up the room, your hands and the phone, and no amount of editing rescues a bad capture.

If you would rather not, our Flipkart photography covers the full set in one session, and what it costs is set out separately.
