Social Media Photoshoot Price in India: What a Batch of Feed Content Costs

A social media photoshoot is priced per image, but the real number is set by how many posts it has to cover. What a batch for your feed costs, and what changes it.

    Shot by Team TSB

Short answer: a social media photoshoot at Team TSB costs Rs 500 to Rs 1,500 per image, shot at our Thane studio, with products couriered in from anywhere in India. What sets your total is how many posts the shoot has to cover, and how many different setups that takes.

    Price the calendar first

Most brands ask for "a social media shoot" and mean about a month of posts. So start with how often you post. Three posts a week is about twelve images a month before you count stories or reel covers.

Then look at repeats. Post the same frame twice in a month and your followers will notice. A month of posting needs several different setups, so the price follows the number of setups as much as the number of images.

Send us your posting plan when you ask for a quote. We price the batch against it, and larger orders get a lower per-image rate than a shoot of one or two products.

Why one shoot should cover three shapes

Instagram and Facebook show a square or 4:5 portrait post in the feed and a 9:16 frame in stories and reels. If a shoot is framed only for the square, the 9:16 version gets cropped later and the product ends up too tight or off-centre.

We plan the ratios before the camera comes out. Each setup is composed with room for all three, so one frame gives you a grid post, a portrait post and a story cover.

What moves a social shoot up the range

    - Props and set builds. Coffee with beans, powder and a pour, or a jar with marshmallows and sugar pearls, is a built set. Each one takes longer to style than a pack on a plain backdrop. - Motion frames. A milk pour or a powder splash takes several attempts to get right, and that is time on set. - A person in the frame. A hand holding the product is a small step up. A model using it is a model shoot, with talent booked separately. Our model shoot price guide covers that part. - Variety inside the batch. Flatlay, in-hand, lifestyle and close detail in one session means more setups than the same product in four angles.

    Where the budget goes further

Plan for the thumbnail. Most people see your post at phone size, mid-scroll, so a frame with strong colour and a clear shape earns more than a subtle one that only works full screen.

Shoot the whole range at once. Six products styled in one session share lighting and props, so they look like one brand on your grid and each frame costs less to set up.

Add video in the same booking. If you need reels, footage from the same session matches your stills and saves a second setup day. See videography for what that covers.
